The Hotel is located in the heart of Taormina's historical center, on the main shopping street, Corso Umberto, and just a few steps away from the Greek-Roman Theatre, which dates back to the 3rd Century AD.
Shopping in Corso Umberto and the adjoining streets is a pleasure for our guests - this chic and stylish street is home to wide variety of shops and serves all tastes. Guests can find jewelers with handmade gold and silver objects, fashion boutiques, art galleries as well as traditional pottery, and arts & crafts shops. Here rare pieces of Italian furniture, of carved marble, wrought iron or lava stone, can be purchased. Moreover guests can also find all the culinary specialties of the Sicilian island , such as the sensual and unique Vino alle Mandorle, made with almonds and other natural essences.
The hotel is also walking distance from the superb Public Garden of the Villa Comunale, an 'English Garden' created by Florence Trevelyan approximately 100 years ago, rich with idyllic spots from which to enjoy the splendour of this wonderfully maintained garden.
Just 15 minutes drive from the hotel lies Taormina Mare (beach), with its amazing seashore and the private pebbled beach, Lido Caparena', of the sister Hotel Caparena.
The Hotel Isabella is also an ideal base from which a range of unique excursions can be organized – a trip to the Volcano of Etna, to the medieval town of Castelmola or to the nearby Aeolian Islands, with its natural springs and breathtaking landscapes, are sure to delight those seeking a special holiday experience.
Remember that a payable local Shuttle Bus can connects guests every day with the private beach in Taormina Mare (May through September).

How to reach us
It is easy to find the Hotel Isabella. Our staff will be happy to provide you with all the assistance necessary to allow you to reach the hotel with ease.
From Catania Airport (55 km) take the Motorway A18 Catania-Messina, exit Taormina and follow the signs to Taormina Centro. The Hotel is located in the pedestrian zone. It's possible to park at the "Lumbi", the toll pubblic parking at the entrance of the city and then to take the shuttle (included in the ticket price) that will drop you in a few minutes to Porto Messina
